　　Jury. 陪审团

　　陪审团是指向法官(judge\justice)宣誓并且对给定的案子(case)做出裁决(decision)的一组人员，尤其是指被法律召集听取并且在法庭(court)上做出案子最终裁决的一组人员。陪审团为法院中，用以判定事实的团体，多见于英美法系国家。目前于司法制度中采用陪审团制度的有美国、英国和中国香港等。

　　译文：陪审团同意，运动员受伤的原因是游戏的性质而不是头盔。

　　Juror.陪审员

　　陪审团中的一员，在英美法系(又称大陆法系，common-law system)的国家中通常有12个陪审员，12个候补陪审员。

　　Supreme court.最高法院

　　美国联邦最高法院是美国最高审判机构，由总统征得参议院(Senate)同意后任命的9名终身法官组成，其判例(legal precedent)对全国有拘束力，享有特殊的司法审查(judicial review)权，即有权通过具体案例宣布联邦或各州的法律是否违宪。

　　Federal circuit.联邦巡回上诉法院

　　联邦巡回上诉法院，法律引用中常缩写为Fed.Cir.或C.A.F.C.)是位于华盛顿的一个联邦上诉法院。该法院是由美国国会(congress)通过《1982联邦法院改善法》创设的，将原有的联邦关税及专利上诉法院、以及美国索赔法院中的上诉部门合并后建立的，使这些法院的法官成为了巡回上诉法官。

　　诉讼，在法律含义上，指一个案件(case)的发展过程，又特指法院主持下按照法定程序(legal procedure)审理案件的过程。

　　符合法律规定的权利和利益。在我国，公民的合法利益包括宪法和法律所规定的政治权利、民主权利、人身权利、经济权利、教育权利等。

　　Federal legislature.联邦立法机构

　　立法机关是制定(legislate)、修改和废除法律的国家机关。资本主义国家的立法机关是议会。中国的立法机关是全国人民代表大会及其常务委员会。

　　译文：Entergy公司打算寻求联邦立法机构的支持。

　　美国国会(Congress，United States)行使立法权(legislative authority)。议案(bill)一般经过提出、委员会审议、全院大会审议等程序。国会两院在各自议长(speaker)主持下工作。众议院(House of Representatives)议长由全院大会选举产生，副总统是参议院的当任议长。两院都设有许多委员会，还设有由两院议员共同组成的联席委员会，国会工作大多在各委员会中进行。
